The solo photography exhibition The Visual Evolution of Dancehall Culture within Toronto is proposed to be a chronological visual ethnography of Dancehall culture in Toronto over the past two decades.  Since December 1990, Lesia Bailey better known as "Pictalady Lesia” has been capturing the essence of the diverse Toronto and international dancehall scene with all its "drama, beauty and its vibrant lifestyle ". Often she was the only female on the Dancehall scene, she has worked as a photojournalist for publications like Mic Check Magazine, It's Your Time Magazine, Reggaemania, Uprising International, SPLASH, Caribbean Camera Newspaper. Her work has also been featured in other mainstream publications like: The Toronto Sun, The Jamaica Gleaner, Star, Canada Extra, Hardcore Newspaper and many others. This will be Lesia Bailey second public art exhibition.

In addition to thirty 16”x20” RC Photographic works, this exhibition will include a multi-medium competent.  Multi-media video presentation (LCD projector of the wall) will include over 300 still images presentation of visual dancehall culture, fashion, DJ/Selectors and patrons/local and international celebrities.

All events will be held at Fourth Eye Gallery, 438 Parliament Street, Unit 2,Toronto. Ont.,.
